Assembly and Commissioning
We have a number of production and support facilities available, allowing us to be flexible and responsive to our customers’ needs wherever they are in the world. We have extensive in house expertise in all aspects of our equipment’s operations so we can respond to customer needs promptly.
Gary Lawson BSc (Hons) CENG FIET is the Managing Director of DarbyTech Training Equipment Inc. He is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Gary’s role as MD is supported by the administration and finance team at the parent company JBA Limited.
Product Development, Design and Implementation
D. Roy Barker, P.Eng is the Chief Engineer (Emeritus) of DarbyTech Training Equipment Inc. He has over 39 years’ experience as an engineer, project manager and educator including:
- Twenty-six years’ experience developing, delivering and managing technical and vocational education and training programs for the energy industry worldwide.
- Design, specification, assembly and supply of process training laboratory equipment to many technical institutions, universities and corporate training centres.
Roy is recognized as one of the leading Canadian professionals involved in the design of training facilities, as well as providing instructional services for the oil and gas industry and their related operations / maintenance personnel. Based in Calgary, Canada, he has been involved in projects all over the world.
Stephen D. Hill, BSc (Hons) is the Technical and Operations Manager of DarbyTech Training Equipment Inc. He has over 28 years’ experience as an engineer, project manager, process manager, and maintenance manager and instrumentation trainer including:
- 10 years’ experience with the design, manufacture and installation and commissioning of process modules and skid assemblies and control systems for clients developing new products in the oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, chemical and utility sectors.
- 18 years within the process, chemical and food sector, covering project management, engineering and process design, HV and Boiler operations and maintenance, DCS/PLC/SCADA, effluent treatment, quality and environmental compliance issues and national training for instrumentation technicians.
Steve is a very experienced project and operational manger with a practical knowledge of ongoing development and training, as well as meeting customers’ needs, and expectations on time and in full.
Based in Teesside, UK, he has been involved in projects all over the world.
